» After an eight-day break, Niagara will continue its five-game road swing with a trip to Alumni Arena on Friday, Dec. 29 to close out the non-conference portion of its schedule against longtime rival Buffalo. The opening tip of the 91st meeting all time between the Purple Eagles and Bulls is set for 7 p.m.
» Niagara is coming into Friday night with a 3-8 overall record after dropping its most recent game at Syracuse on Thursday, Dec. 21, despite a career-high 26 points from graduate student Luke Bumbalough, and a double-double (14 pts, 11 reb) from Yaw Obeng-Mensah.
» Bumbalough became the fifth different Purple Eagle to record a 20-point game this season. Niagara has had a different player score 20 or more points in four straight games.
» Despite being held scoreless at Syracuse last Thursday, freshman Ahmad Henderson II still leads Niagara with 13.8 points per game, including nine games with double-digit points.
» Henderson scored 23 points two games ago at Binghamton and tallied a career-high 28 vs. Bucknell back in November, which set a Purple Eagle program record for a freshman debut in the Gallagher Center.
» Yaw Obeng-Mensah recorded his first double-double as a Purple Eagle, notching 14 points and 11 rebounds at Cuse. The double-double performance is the fifth of the Toronto, Ontario native career.
» Niagara is a top-three shooting team in the MAAC this season, ranking second in 3-point percentage (37.8), and third in both field goal percentage (46.2) and free throw percentage (76.3).
