Very sad news, indeed. He was the hero of the 1968 Detroit Tigers World Series win over Bob Gibson and the St. Louis Cardinals. Mick won 3 games for the Tigers in that series. Lolich was one of the greatest pitchers in Detroit history. After he retired he became a donut maker in his family bakery.
