Attendance is fair considering Greg is 52-66 with 1 winning season in 5 years. Bar is really high!

At this point, loyal patronage at NU can only be described as a lesson in masochism.
The admin makes no bones having little interest in investing in athletics, recruiting to cold and snowy Western New York is a tough, tough place job, and if you do recruit or uncover a jewel, the lure of the portal will more than likely mean he’ll be playing at a higher level D1 school next year.
Add in the low recognition and NIL potential of the MAAC and there’s little reason for optimism.
The only chance NU has in achieving anything is following some of the recent examples of trying to identify and develop a tight knit group that wants to stay and play together for 4 years and try to achieve something at a school that has no pedigree of success since JAM left.
I used to think of the MAAC as dominated by Iona and Siena and we were a step behind but competitive. Now I think we are a low tier MAAC school with no real aspiration for anything else.
With so many other entertainment options open on weekends, you really have to give kudos to the people who do show up.

If you take a look into the crowd at Taps you'll notice lots and lots of gray hair...or no hair. Fans attending games these days are carry-overs from the glory days of the 60s and these people are dying off fast so we're looking at empty seats in the near future.

NU will not have both d1 hockey and d1 ball within 10 years or less

It is totally unsustainable for a school losing money. Also no one cares so why even have it
