Subject: Lax Playoffs?

I know this is mainly a basketball board but after watching Towson and Hopkins today, a couple things come to mind:1)Towson is definitely a playoff team even if they lose in the America East Tournament Final. 2)Hopkins should get a bye in the playoffs even if they lose to Loyola next week. 3)Maryland doesn't deserve a bye after losing to Duke last week. 4)UMBC is a year away from being a contender, but they are not that far away.
The Hopkins defense was dominant today even though they gave up 13 goals in a 14-13 victory They came up with the key ground balls in just about every circumstance. Towson's defense was horrible early on, but they made some adjustments at the end. According to Tony Seaman, Bobby Benson's last goal (he was wide open in front of the net) came because a Towson defenseman didn't hear the whistle. What a way to lose a game.
