For some reason I forgot all about broadcast.com. I guess I'm so disgusted with football this season that I totally spaced out or something.

What happened was I'd gotten Real Player to listen to Harry Browne's radio show, and thought I'd download the newer version, but when I did it worked fine except there was no sound. I hadn't saved the old version so I had to try to troubleshoot it and found out that I needed to upgrade my soundcard driver, which I never quite got around to doing.

I guess I'll be working on that this weekend. The moral is: Be careful about procuring new versions of any software--try to keep the old version around just in case. (That can be applied to girlfriends as well, I've found.)

Thanks for reminding me about broadcast.com! GF
