Subject: Spirit of the American Doughboy WWI commemorative lamp

In 1920, American sculptor E.M. Viquesney copyrighted his famous WWI memorial statue, "Spirit of the American Doughboy". Many miniatures were made of this statue, including thousands of table lamps. Today there are but a handful of these lamps left. The figurine depicts an American WWI infantryman advancing through tree stumps and barbed wire, a rifle in his left hand, a grenade in his upraised right, to which the socket and shade are attached. As of this writing, I have been able to locate 5 other owners of this rare item. If you have one, you own a unique piece of American post-WWI history, currently worth several hundred dollars if in good condition.
