Welcome to the new Faculty Discussion Forum for NRCC!!!
This forum is restricted to faculty and staff of New River Community College and "invited" experts, only.
The goals of this forum are to provide
1) A way to Disseminate "Best Practices" information in dealing with students that have psychological/emotional or behavior disorders in the higher education classroom.
2)A non-threatening way for faculty to discuss situations and ask questions of their peers and other experts.
3) A convenient method to fulfill the grant proposal requirements for COPE, in providing faculty consultation in the above areas.
Cautionary note:
This is set up as an anonymous forum to provide faculty with
the most non-threatening and least restrictive setting as possible. Hopefully this will encourage more open discussion and authentic responses. It is of critical importance that posters (those posting messages) do not use student or faculty names or other identifiers.
If it appears that identifying, confidential information is being revealed, the forum will go to a NON-anonymous profile that will require names and emails to be submitted to the posting.
