Subject: My final post

This is a dead serious post, and I'll say off the bat that some folks won't give a damn what I have to say, but that's all right...

This is going to be my last post on this message board. I will not say why because that would just needlessly open up another can of worms. Suffice it to say, posting on this board used to be enjoyable and informative (even when things got ugly) but has recently become a headache that I do not have the energy to deal with.

I've always operated under the theory that when anything becomes more hassle than joy, it's time to walk away. Well, circumstances have come together in such a way that I think it's time for me to walk away from this board. Sticking around would be pointless under the current circumstances and may just aggravate things further.

As I said, there are some of you who could care less. That's groovy, I don't expect this announcement to be of any real consequence to anyone, really. I guess this final post is just to achieve a sense of closure for myself, and I don't expect my absence to have any sort of lasting effect here. I'm not that important.

Perhaps if conditions change, I may return to amuse, annoy, and occasionally play referee, but for the foreseeable future, in the words of Dennis Miller, I am outta here.

Best wishes to the performers, patrons, and merchants of all the New England-area renaissance faires. I'll be seeing everyone next year as a performer at King Arthur, Robin Hood, 3M, and hopefully Vermont, and any other local faire that wants some cheap labor, and as a patron at the others.
