"I'm already blind," he says with a chuckle. "Why should you care about what I think?" he asks. "You can do anything to me, and I can only reconise your voice," he says harshly to himself. "Why should anyone care what I do, what I say, or what I think. I cant even go anywhere much by myself. I cant even see who is talking to me!" he mutters to himself. "By the way, my name's James," he adds.

He takes out a wood carving of a horse rearing in the air. The details on it were clear and strong. One could have thought that the horse might have been ready to move any moment. He runs his fingers across it. "Tell me, what does this seem to you?" he asks. This is the last wooden carving I ever made. I hardly remember it......... he thinks. A single tear slides down from his eye that was not covered with an eye patch.
