I would apologize for slapping them if it weren't for the fact that I remember how poorly landscaped and kept their homes were. I mean to say, I don't recall walking up to one single house where I didn't think to myself something like

"Why would anyone plant those cheap weeds there?"

or

"It is pathetic that their brick only goes along the front and they have that cheap vinyl siding on the sides � like they are fooling anyone!"

before I rang their doors.

When folks is Christian, then everything they do and have should reflect the Glory of Christ. It is not a lot for the Lord Jesus to ask. For example, if you drive a dented up, rusted up car with a t-shirt pulled over the bucket seat to cover cigarette holes in the upholstery, then you need to get your fish decal OFF the back before you make Jesus look bad.

If my memory serves, all of them people deserved a hard slap across the face for making folks think that once you receive the Holy Spirit, you will be every bit as tacky as you always was. That is blasphemy and I won't tolerate it. Not then. Not now.
