Strength In Numbers

The name Strader carries weight in charismatic circles. Strader, 72, has been pastor of Carpenters Home for 35 years and has ministered at various churches nationwide. A Pentecostal church under the Assemblies of God denomination, Carpenters Home has owned radio stations, hosted concerts and conferences featuring big names in Christianity, such as evangelist Rodney Howard-Browne, gospel singer CeCe Winans and Christian music artists Jars of Clay and Michael W. Smith reported the St. Petersburg Times.

But the past 15 years have also carried controversy. Some Assemblies of God leaders, including televangelist Jimmy Swaggart, have publicly questioned Strader's theological teachings, according to the Lakeland Ledger.

"We've been to hell and back," Strader said during a recent church service. About 800 of Strader's members left to form their own church in 1989, after a dispute over his leadership.

Then in 1994, Strader's son, Daniel, was arrested on fraud charges. He was convicted the next year and is serving a 45-year sentence in federal prison. A small number of fraud victims were members of the church, causing further tension. Strader said he believed his son was innocent and was treated unfairly by the system. But his son's appeals have been denied. Strader asked members of Without Walls to pray for his son's release, saying seven years behind bars was enough for a "white collar crime."

At one time membership rolls swelled to about 5,000. Strader and a jubilant congregation had the 10,000-seat auditorium built, believing that in time it would be filled to capacity. Instead, attendance dwindled. (Published the St. Petersburg Times August 12, 2002)

As of today it seems that God is not hearing the prayers of the members of Without Wall or Carpenter's prayers for Dan Strader's release. I guess there is no strength in numbers for evil and wicked ones?

The problem with lying and thieving preachers in America is that they all preach to others but never listen to others. They are after all better than their sheep? Someone should tell preachers such as Karl Strader, Benny Hinn and Randy White, who said I was demon possessed and needed to get a life because I don't do what they did, need to be told that robbing and raping the money and well being of the sheep under their care is not just a "white collar crime." They should read their own bible that they talk so much about and see what God said to Eli and his raping and thieving sons:

Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it." So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, "O Baal, hear us!" But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.
And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, "Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened."
So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention. 1 Kings 18:25-29

Subjet: False Ministers or Prophets

Dear Evangelist Benny Hinn

This week on your TV show you gave ten ways to spot false ministers or prophets:

1) Hide things or do things in secret. (They don't reveal their salaries)
2) Handle the word of God deceitfully to build themselves up. (They don't raise money for souls)
3) Look on outward appearance not the heart
4) They commend or promote themselves
5) They are always competing with others
6) They are greedy for income for themselves
7) They seek a higher position for themselves like Korah (Numbers 16)
8) They pose as righteous ministers
9) They seek personal glory
10) They are boastful and self exalting

So do not to be a hypocrite and do things in secret but as a CEO of a nonprofit religous organization please reveal your total salary or compensation incluidng perks and all?

Also why do you support Senior Pastor Karl Strader of Carpenter's Home church who helped his son to rob and rape sheep?
