I didn't go to boarding schools
Preppy girls never looked at me
Why should they?

His day had been hectic already. He had to be at the airport in just a few hours, and had hardly started to pack yet. After officially checking out of his room at the hotel that he had been staying at on and off over the past couple months - whenever he just wanted to crash without dealing with Bianca or Matty - he had headed to his apartment. A quick chat with his dealer and he had been reminded of why he was actually fond of the little scumbag, so had written checks for rent for his landlord for the next three months - so that Matty could stay and not worry about getting evicted or having to front any cash - and then gone back to grab the few things there that he needed. Teary-eyed and sniffling away - though Gavin wasn't quite sure if they were products of emotions or narcotics - Matty had assured him that he would take care of the place, and not let too many people into it or get into trouble, and then wailed that Gavin was his only true friend and he was just going to miss him so much. Used to the whiny man's melodrama, he managed to return the hug without gagging at the stench, and then patted Matty's back before heading for the door with his bag and the promise that he would send Bianca his love. His travels had then taken him into the city to meet with a representative from the record company who, for whatever reason, felt the need to lay down all the details for Gavin before he got to Los Angeles. Really, all he wanted to know was when his flight left here, and that someone was picking him up at LAX, and that he had a hotel room booked either next to or across from his bandmates. But instead he got the whole spiel on the high hopes that the company had for the band and how they knew that their follow-up would be a huge success, and blah, blah, blah - a couple JD's later, it was easy for Gavin to tune out the suit. Finally, he was able to make it to Bianca's - most of his things were there and he needed to finish up packing, not to mention actually say goodbye to her and all that. Dragging his bag up to her suite, he let himself in and kicked off his shoes as he called out for her on his way into the kitchen for a beer. "Bianca?"
