Katie,

I'm really shocked. Feel free to vent your feelings, but do you know many other bands in Birmingham? The band that you're describing simply aren't Distophia. Lots of bands in Brum like to big up themselves and pretend to be stars (nothing wrong with that, and what's the point in making music if you don't have aspirations to go with it?). But the irony is that Distophia dont big themselves up enough. They rarely even talk about their band (maybe they'd be getting on a bit faster if they did!), let alone call themselves 'Rock Stars'. They're all very laid back, down to earth guys. I have never heard them take the piss out of anyone at gigs either, apart from the occasional witty riposte from Pete, usually aimed at me, which is always totally good-natured despite the torrent of drunken expletives that I issue at the band. You really have got the wrong guys, as the supportive messages in this thread show.

There are plenty of bands in Birmingham who do behave in the way that you describe, such as two brilliant bands that I've seen many many times - King Adora and the New Electrics. There's nothing wrong with being 100% Rock Star!

And why hate Seb? I'm his sister - that's my job, thankyou! Seb is actually quite lovely, and knowing him he has probably taken your comments to heart. If you see any of the Distophia guys around, I'm not sure that you would want to introduce yourself to them now, but if you did I'm sure that you'd quickly realise what easy going, laid back guys they are.

Take care, and happy gigging (do some band behaviour comparison studies and you'll see what I mean!).

Misscokl
