Subject: "Ugly Cat" was killed in line of duty June 12, 2001.................

"Ugly Cat" was the one killed defending the chicken shed against a pack of coyotes, on June 12, 2001. "Bad Cat" is the replacement ranch cat, and is doing a good job. He lacks some experience but has killed two coyotes to date and has two noches in his collar. His goal is to have twenty-one noches (coyote kills) by the time he is seven years old! The National Taby Cat Association heard about "Ugly Cat" and has awarded him the "Feline Metal of Merit." We framed it, and it hangs on the wall of our living room. I am starting to get choked up talking about "Ugly Cat"........ It has been tuff not having that cat around the barn. Because of the risk of harm to "Bad Cat" by the coyotes, we have another young ranch cat in training, "Jar Head Cat." This cat is one mean cat, all the dogs in the area run when they see him, don't want to be hurt by him. He has the potential to be one of the greatest ranch cats of all time, may end up someday in the "Taby Ranch Cat House of Fame." "Ugly Cat" has been nominated for entry into the "Taby Ranch Cat House of Fame."
I am really getting chocked up talking about "Ugly Cat"....... He was a great one! Please have a great day!
Kelley (Texas)
