History for you...

If you can hunt south of the river in Coffeyville, west of the highway that goes into South Coffeyville, itis said that the Dalton gang stayed in that area before they robbed their last bank... Starnes is the name of the last person who owned the land in question, he passed away several years back... I do not know if his sons still own the property or not... his daugher lives here, I sure miss ol Clint Starnes... didnt know the history of the area until after Clint passed on... But, it has been written that the Daltons burried some money before going into Coffeyville, and after the last surviving member of the gang was released from prison... so many years had passed, the bridge that had been there was gone and he could not locate that burial site....
