Subject: My new hunting buddy

Well, he is kind of a hunting buddy.. he does not own a metal detector... but he is my research buddy... we do great research together... somewhere along the line our brains click well together..

He told me about a log cabin he knew about in the middle of no where, falling apart, he said about the only thing left is the fire place... so he started researching the site wanting to go out and hunt it... we could not find the place listed in a 1902 plat map.. he became discouraged.. we thought maybe someone moved that old cabin from its original spot ...

Yesterday he walked into the library beeming... he had gone over into the county of which the cabin stands, found a 1884 plat, and the cabin is on that plat map...

I feel for this guy... he is about 28 years old, does not work, not because he is lazy, but because he takes care of his mother who is getting elderly, does not drive and such... so he moved back home to take care of her... have to admire that in a guy :o)

He is going to use my detector, and I am going to see if I can shoot a cool picture of this cabin... I hope he finds something.. anything... a old nail.. bucket handle...
