Subject: 99 ford expedition (remote start)

There is a chip in the key !!! There is a "transpnonder" around the key hole that reads the code off the key chip. To bypass the key code you will need :
Both original keys
transponder bypass kit (i use one from DEI)

This is how the whole thing works !
Wire the transponder bypass kit (place the "eye" as close to the key hole as posible.
You place the first key in the switch , turn to the on possition.
within 5 seconds place the second key in and turn to on possition.
This places the transponder in program mode and will program the transponder bypass with a key code (the truck will think that you are programing another key)
Start the truck by remote. If the key code was learned the key light will light solid and the truck will start, if not the key light will flash and the truck will not start !

good luck
