I've returned!

Well, Dan and I are SO over South Carolina. We are now living in Orange Park, just outside of Jacksonville (Yes, Florida).

Dan quit his job as a chemical engineer and got a new one in Jax as a Software Developer. It was what he wanted. He loves working on software, and was a good decision.

I volunteered for a layoff that my empoloyer had (three cheers for severence pay!!!) and am going back to school. Turns out neither Dan nor I particularly enjoyed engineering as a career. Working for the government probably had something to do with that! Anyway, I'm back at UF starting Monday the 9th. It's a bit of a commute, but what can I do? So, I am getting my Phd (should take 3 yrs) so that I can be a professor of engineering.

So it is a time of change for us, but what better time than now to go for it.
