Sorry it has taken me so long to post. Still trying to catch up. Don't know where time goes! Our trip was great! Lanie and I had a blast- it was so good to see my bro. He is doing really well there. We went to a casino(I won all my money back out of the slot machine), the Riverwalk, lots of cool local restaurants, the huge uppity mall, saw Panic Room (which was awesome), and of course went to the French Quarter. We saw lots of interesting things on Bourbon Street- let's see, for starters- half naked men dancing on bar tops, a drunk dude getting arrested, a drug deal in progress-involving a dude with a mouth full of gold, and a bunch of freaks hanging off balconies trying to give out beads to flashers, not realizing they were a little late for Mardi Gras. Some foreign guy stopped in front of me and said something that I at first could not understand through his drunken accent. My brother was ready to hunt him down and kill him if he had said something derogatory, but it wasn't. I was able to calm him and we kept walking. My brother, not the least bit overprotective. Anyway, we had a lot of fun and got some great pictures. We were able to pack a lot into 5 days. We did want to go to Anne Rice's house, but it is on the market and they are no longer giving tours. Well, there's my contribution to the board for now.
