I'm sorry, but at the beginning of the year, WSRC started "workforce restructuring" and "skill mix" reorganization. There was a lot of hiring done last year, but the budget for this year is less than anticipated. So here is the deal: there is an early retirement incentive, but the average age of DOE facilities is 48 years old, so there is a big push to hire young engineers. Also the skill mix concern is that we have too much administration and not enough engineering. My point? It's not highly likely that Terry will get hired, but if anybody will it will be someone like him (a young engineer). So let me know what you think of the odds.

If you send me a resume, I would be happy to circulate it to the most appropriate people.

Also, FYI I work for Bechtel Savannah River Incorporated at SRS (Savannah River Site). It is a government (DOE/DOD) facility. Despite the name, it is actually closer to Augusta, GA.

If you are interested in more about what the site is, e-mail me.
