The elder, the buckskin, snorts in pure disgust as Zamnor rushes to greet his sire. "What does he think he is, some stupid filly?" Kishiga turns moodily away and snaps at some brittle vegetation... but perhaps he has a right to feel this way; having been inadvertently abandoned almost fatally at birth, he may have a right to feel less than warm about his sire and dam.

But the moments-younger colt watches Zamnor with the slightest tinge of regret. Ziraga was never like that... should he have been? Such thoughts, however, are pushed aside as Szakira shakes out his stark-white mane, bending down to sniff half-heartedly at the still unappetising grass.
