§- The silence merely gave her a chance to watch him with heartless gaze; dominance wasn't her game, following orders was. Ah... so eager. Very well, we shall fight here. The mare broke her extended observations easily and her eyes swept around the territory shrewdly until they again land on the stallion. Are you ready to begin?

Strange, that he should feel so protective of the colt, after all these years in his emotional coma. Alas, no time to be annalistic; the show must go on. "Nyssia, take the baby away. Zamnor, be good for your mother." His voice was casual and indifferent, and full once more of its biting remarks. Bally could only spare a brief thought for the colt, scarcely enough time to toss a jibing remark that might incite indignance to overshadow his fear. When the stallion turned once more to face Zarzita, his earthy brown eyes were hard as steel, and his mouth went down violently at one corner, "After you."
