Dalamar stiffened at the teasing. It was only a little, and he knew it was meant in a friendly way, but it was enough to trigger something in his mind. A hundred terrifying memories came flooding back. Memories of him running... him hiding in the woods at night, watching his house burn, courtesy of the other elves...memories of being attacked in small allyways... he turned away quickly as another tear fell down his cheek.
