- The elven maiden pulled back on the reins of her mount; the mare skidding to a halt in the dusty path. A soft nudge urged the horse to walk on, while the maiden surveyed the city in wonder. The raven-hued beast halted near the lake, bending its head to drink thirstily. The elf dismounted and proceeded to investigate this place further. She clucked to the horse, who obediantly followed. Ratana hoped that she could find friends here and perhaps settle down. Yet, her spirit yearned for something that was not contained in the city of Sylvanestri. -
