panther what on earth are you talking about? the word for wheelbarrow originated in the 14th century before AMERICANS. it it certainly older than that. it derives from Middle English wheel(e), Old English hweol, hweogol and from Middle English bar(o)we, Old English bearwe, basket. it is an english word, like all the words we speak. we speak english.
