Subject: Re: such a star Author: medeis [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:24:53 07/29/01 Sun In reply to: storm 's message, "such a star" on 03:38:30 07/29/01 Sun i understand what you are saying in your posts. :) some herbalists will tell you that there are combinations of herbal medications that can boost the immune system. this has not been supported scientifically. i assure you that if it had, then doctors would be giving out these pills to people with aids. but on the other hand, perhaps they have not been tested sufficiently, therefore you could give them a chance. i am not a herbalist so i could not tell you what to take. all i know is that herbs are drugs, just like any other medication and have side effects and risks. as for your lingering illness of the cold type, perhaps you have mono. you are the right age. cold sores can cause pharygitis, if you get a lot of them, but you say they dont occur at the same time as the colds, also you've had them many years, so i doubt that would be the cause. dont put irritating meds on the sores. they dont make them heal any faster. dry is best. blot dry, or use your cream. feel better soon!
