I should think that if we were one single universe then it would be spherical, as then the ends would meet, and maybe this would enable us to have the big bang kinda theory, where the ends would reach each other, and slowly merge, making the whole universe implode into itself? Im just writing out an idea i see in ym head, and im sorry if it is a little hard to understand what the hell im rambling on about! Also...sorry im not as clever as you guys!
