Author: delena [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 04:29:06 05/16/01 Wed In reply to: storm 's message, "Question - are all americans like THIS!?" on 01:16:58 05/16/01 Wed this guy in utah you're talking about is a mormon, everyone. come on, i thought at least the americans would know this! mormonism preaches that it's not only proper for men to have a harem, it's encouraged in this religion *ahem! cough cough hoax! cough cough* of course, america has laws against bigamy and so most mormon men have only one wife (and a busload of kids, i swear). but some real religious zealots have wives, and its considered good luck and some wonderful thing if the wives are related somehow. like sisters that don't want to be separated will marry the same man, things like that. mormonism is pretty screwed up, if you look in-depth into it. but i hate to bash another religion, even if this religion's 'good book' is (as someone put it to me) the greatest work of fiction ever written. the man is mormon, people, and obviously so are his wives.
