Flash has many different versions, although one of the most up to date i can describe as a plug-in (another new word!) for your web browser that enables you to watch rich media content such as the animation you saw at the stickdeath site. Is that ok? Hope it helped! If you need more info tho, you can go to the macromedia site, which i would assume is at www.macromedia.com, but im not sure.
