"what do you mean you don't like my flippers" medeis says, craning her neck back to admire the golden fins attached to her feet.

"well, they keep splashing in my face" the panther growled rather disdainfully, refusing to budge for the moment.

"ok, well, look...i can't just walk on the bottom!! i have to swim somehow...and these flippers look Good on me! why don't you lead then?"

the panther thought for a moment. then licked her paws. which was kind of a weird thing to do under water, but hey, no accounting for the feline persuasion. "purrrr...ok!"

"well now that we've lost everybody, which way do we go?" medeis twirled around trying to find her friends, peering closely through her sunglasses.

"oh, thats easy" the panther replied. "i can smell them over there."

and she led the way over winding city paths (not sidewalks) and beside gaping open doorways towards a large palace in the distance. figures could be seen gathering together.

"here we are!!! wait for us!!" cried panther and medeis.
