in my opinion, the cell itself is not self-aware and does not know love per se. but the totality knows love. the cell may vibrate to the frequency of love, but it is the mind that encompasses it and brings it to awareness.
without love the totality withers and this is felt on the cellular level simply because the totality of a human is made of cells. on some level cells are "aware" of what is going on because there is communication, the body is a whole, not singular parts. but the cell is not self-aware, it does not think to itself "cogito ergo sum", it does not realize the impending death, it accomplishes it. jmo.
also, a human brought up without love may not die. they may be small, not grow to the full intellectual potential and they may end up sociopathic or psychopathic. but humans are surprising. i bet this has happened and some have grown up ok. hard to tell. sad to think of it.
