that board cliques are quite common. i have watched many many boards with some amusement at the way they treat newcomers. if one lurks for a bit to get the tone, and is slightly adept at sociopsycho dynamics then you can actually insert yourself in a group fairly easily. but if a group is a clique, then it is usually fairly stagnant so why bother. i have been watching a vampire board now for a while. they have driven out two new member attempts, one was simply a nice person, the other was extremely challenging, way beyond them in a literate sense. i am still in the process of analyzing that board. it is interesting. but i would never post there.
