hi, my names Yorrick,
I'm sixten and I've been writing poetry for about 3-4 years, some of its inspired by songs or bits of movies, sometimes its by things in my life, usualy girls. I deal in hate, rebelion, love and dispair
um... I hope this stuff is apropriat for this forum.
I'll start with the earlier ones and work my way to the present. i wont post all of them either.
(this one doesn't have a title and i'm not going to give it one. i've never been suicidal, although thiss one lead to some counciling sessions)
I HEAR THE CHILDREN SCREAMING
I FEEL THE POETS DREAMING
I AM THE ONE UNCHANGED
I CRY FOR THE DERANGED
I SEE THE POOR MAN DRINKING
I KNIW THE WISE MAN THINKIN
I AM THE DARK, I AM THE LIGHT
I SEE THE BIRDS AS THEY TAKE FLIGHT
I AM CANCER’S CURE
THE SAD MAN’S LURE
I AM DEATH
(a short verse, I've never done anythign with it,I like it the way it is)
in the dreams i dream at night
i dream of me holding you tight
i see your face shining so bright
shining in the darkness with your pure light
(I wrote this one for my ex-gf, she was realy sad beacause of trouble at home, and...)
the wilted black rose
i saw a wilted black rose one day,
so sad and stripped of flesh,
to see a thing so beautiful, so sad,
it made me weep and wail,
i lifted it from tis sorry state,
and nurtured it with care,
i sang it songs andwhispered sweet nothings on its ear
then slowly, surely, i saw it rise,
bit by bit, day by day,
untill it stood so tall,
the rose it looked so beautiful
so storong and delicate,
i got down on my knees and prayed,
to thank god for this love,
so proud, so strong, so wonderfull.
i love her ever still
(I once heard a realy cool techno song, it didn't have any lyrics so i experimented with a couple of my own)
the shadowed heart
I can not see
behind you eyes
what do you see
what can i do
you turn away
when i look at you
do you realy care
weather i am there
you closd your heart
and turned to stone
why wont you smile
and laugh again
the rains are come
and cool the earth
the skys are blue
and i am healed
Frozen Planet
this frozen earth
it hides a soul
that lies beneath
and warms us all
we do not see
and yet we run
forget the truth
well make our own
the ages pass
and the wheel turns
forsake our love
and never learn
the land forgot
we watch the sky
we say we're fine
but its a lie
(this one is for my girlfriend Erin, she goes to a boarding school and i hardly ever see her)

i turn to you
and hold you hand
you look to me
and smile again
i feel our hearts
they beat as one
two souls are we
and yet we're one
our arms entwine
i close my eyes
i feel you kiss
and fly the skys
our hearts beat time
as we dance away
all through the night
into the day
the way you laugh
and look to me
you hold my heart
and set me free

Fight
War is buildign faster into gehena day
for the blood you've taken you soon you'll have to pay
children march in arms, draw up the battle lines
you will not me safe in your nuetrality
if you want to live grab your blade and follow me
march into the night stand, fast and hold the line
get prepared to fight, we represent man-kind
evil hides in shadows hidden within the dark
fear is like a poison flowing into our hearts
don't you think to falter, they will not take you gold
this devils have no pity, the enemy of old
these demons they suround us, their screames will drive you mad
but our sould are holy we're fighting the jihad
there's no time lift the light grows dim.
the battle lines are met but none know which side will win
