Subject: Plz Do NOT breed your Mastiff mix!!
In reply to: Stephanie Bernath 's message, "Re: looking for eng/neo mastiff to adopt" on 08:36:25 06/08/04 Tue

Stephanie,

Please do not breed this little girl. She is just that, a mix, a mutt. There are already plenty of Mastiff/Neo/Corso crosses in animal shelters all over the country. The rate at which they come in is unbarable.

Most meet their maker without ever known true human companionship. I'm NOT saying that any of your pups would end up that way, but Please, do not breed this little mix girl.

She deserves so much better than that. Give her all your love and don't force her to produce a litter for you. If you are looking to gain knowledge from her, get her into Therapy work, or research Weight pulling with her. There is also carting and agility. Corso are wonderful at agility.

Please, just because you have dog knowledge and trainer friends, does not constitute breeding this little girl. Not every dog needs to have a litter. With this breed as well, not spaying can lead to mammorary cancer or pyo and mastitis. All of which can cost an arm and leg, if not both and then some.
