I slipped Gypsy's halter over her ears and led her outside. I showed her the bridle and then I let her sniff it for a few minutes. Then I slipped the reins over her small head and VERY gently put the bit in her mouth. Sh eyed me cautiously but didin't do anything else. Then I did up the throatlatch and the cheekpiece and everything else loosly and she reared. I calmed her down but she was still trembling. Deciding that that was enough for one day, I put her back in her stall.
