I've been Hooping a bunch in SMB. Got some cool things.

Thanksgiving I pulled up a decent bug over six pounds.

Friday night got four bugs between 2 an 3.75 pounds.

I got there late didn't pull my first net till 2:30. I'm sure if I'd got there earlier I'd of limited.

Saturday in the rain I got no bugs but a huge rock crab with a carapice width over 6.5 inches, with legs he was bigger then a dinner plate. (Just ate him...LOL)

Also pulled up a brand new derilict 36 inch Promar. That's my third net this season two 36 Pro's and a connicle net that was rigged Flomar style....LOL

Let's face it...it's still not red hot but it's definately getting better. Friday felt like late last season.

I'm not sure what's going on but the bugs are still molting. I'm pulling up empty molts several times a night.

The water qualities was getting better. Sunday morning the red tide was back in force around MDR probably due to rain.

Allmost all of the bugs I am getting are females. This and the molts would indicate to me that things are behind schedule. Last year females came first then it switched to bigger males. Maybe we'll get a repeat.

I'm hoping we'll see more bugs later in the season. Still hoopings always a blast bugs or no bugs. As long as I'm pulling something I'm a happy guy...LOL

Tight lines Jim
