Otters All,

Having cast my eye over some of the emails flying around this week, i feel that this is the ideal forum from which to express my views on Sunday's game.

On behalf of all the Loyalists and those associated with the club (including Hodgson T) can I thank you boys for an 'utter otter lesson'.

As soon as I woke up on Sunday morning I had that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I knew we would not be allowed to perform the daylight robbery of last season when Boyd tripped over his shoelaces in the last minute to secure the crucial equalising penalty.

The strength in depth of the otter squad is immense and from my vantage point at right back i would like to make the following observations. If anyone disagrees then I am sorry, but I barely saw any of the game as i was being run ragged by your front pair.

Most Valuable Player: McCarter without doubt - an absolute rock. Oh would that the loyalists have someone of his stature.

Most Inspirational Player: Herbie - worth his weight in Gold, which equates to somewhere in the region of 4.6 Billion US Dollars.

Worst Loser: Arthur - has been banging on all week about how physical Jenkins and Hodgson were up front.

Most Jealous Loyalists: Myself - Tim Hodgson has come in for some stick but how I envy him. I would do the same if I thought I could make your second team.

Thanks again guys. Enjoyed it immensely in a funny sort of way. However, next season i will avoid the leafy autumn Sundays on Wandsworth Park for I feel that I can learn no more. You have charged my cup with otters magic and I have drunk my fill.
