her onyx hooves carrying her swiftly over
the shifting sands. she comes to a halt and
finds herself looking at the crimson stallion,
the intense heat of the sun creating an illusion
within the oasis he resides. transfixed, she
cautiously takes an almost timid step towards him,
and then stops. a chill courses through her veins -
and despite the rising temperatures, she quivers.
A flash of emotion rushes to her orbs but
quickly disapears as she resumes composure.
