My wife and I saw the 2nd LA show. I've been a fan for years but never got the chance to see Joe before. The show was absolutely great. The new songs are fantastic and the older material sounded fresh. The band played with lots of energy and seemed to be having a blast. The concert was a shade over 90 minutes and while I would have been thrilled to hear more, those 90 minutes were enough to put this one up there with some of the most enjoyable shows I've ever seen. I've seen some of the speculation about Joe's sexual orientation. I guess it's natural to wonder but the bottom line is that it really doesn't matter to me one way or the other. His songs contain a social, political and romantic commentary that is always insightful with just the right amount of satire and poignancy...and let there be no doubt...he rocks. So who gives a s**t what or who he does in the privacy of his own bed. I'd give my right arm to have his musical and lyrical talent. I only hope that I'll have several more opportunities to see this man perform. I hope Joe releases a DVD of this reunion tour.
