...discover what's over the horizon is to risk sailing off the edge of the Earth. It may raise daunting ethical/moral questions. But, it is the way of our Species to take risks; to discover the difference between sitting on a hot stove-lid and sitting on a cold one; to question all the shoulds & shouldn'ts.

I do not dispute your position that there may be problems. But the proverbial genie is not going back into the bottle. Nobody's going to shame it back in, legislate it back in, or scare it back in. And the kind of police-state it would take to make some gratuitous prohibition of cloning APPEAR to be enforceable--would come at an extreme cost. Consider the ongoing Holy War against Liberty, Privacy & Property in the name of "Drugs." Multiply those abuses of power by some large number, and you'll have an idea what a climate of terror might be inflicted on us in the name of a Holy War Against Demon Cloning. RKBA! Be well. Regards, all.
