The analogy you gave is based on skewed histoy; something that we'd hear on "Al Jazeera."

The land "given" to the Jews by the UN, was already inhabited by Jewish colonies. They had been living there, and migrating there, for centuries. There was never a Palestinian country. Never. It's the same thing as trying to call New England a state. It isn't.

They BOTH had been living there, and arguing, for centuries. The land was divided, roughly evenly,(check the UN map if you don't believe that) between the Jews and the Palestinians. As soon as the Israeli leaders proclaimed themselves a nation, they were invaded by several Arab nations, aided by Palestinian forces.

The reason that there are "refugee camps," is that the Arab invaders came in those areas, using them as a corridor for their forces. THey had one purpose, drive the Jews(that had been living there for centuries, again) into the sea. When the Jews repelled the invasion, they occupied the land.

The Jews will not give that land back, until they get a guarantee for peace. So far, no guarantee has been given. Yasser Arafat turned down a golden deal, forged by Dennis Ross and the Clinton Administration, to get 95% of the land he wanted. He turned it down, because he didn't want to agree to cease the violence, plain and simple.

I'll repeat, nice and slow, since some of you cannot seem to understand the fact: THERE WAS NO LAND TAKEN FROM THE PALESTINIANS. THE LAND THAT THE JEWS WERE ALREADY ON, GIVE OR TAKE, WAS RECOGNIZED AS A NATION. THE PALESTINIANS COULD'VE HAD THEIR OWN NATION RECOGNIZED, BUT THEY TRIED TO WIPE OUT THE JEWS AND LOST.

Was that clear enough?

My only advice to the Arabs in the future, is: Don't try to wipe out your neighbors, then complain when they fight back and cease the terrritory you used to invade them.

I mean, the Arabs outnumber them 30 to 1. There is no reason for the Isrealis to want to start a war.

I suggest you re-read whatever history book you got your info(?) from. Perhaps it came from the same Palestinian books that do not contain a map of Isreal.
