My dad read that book to me when I was 7 years old. We had a big red leather-bound edition. My little sister (she's three years younger) and I would sit next to my dad and he would read a little bit of it every day for years... I don't remember if we finished it or not, but I do remember being really close to the end of it. Pretty soon, though, I was reading another book at the same time as my dad was reading his and he thought I wasn't interested but I was paying attention to both. I swear! Oh, so much for my happy childhood memories.
