Subject: For the love of ME, the board looks horrible.

I fail to read the board in a few months due to excessive work, and when I return I find there isn't much to read anyways. A large factor in this being the acquisition of online journals for the fair majority of old regulars here, I suspect. For old times sake, I shall post. You are overly thrilled, I bet.

Having essentially completed the last leg of the journey for a piece of paper with ink splayed across it (Bachelors Degree), I am faced with decisions and dilemmas. Preparations earlier in the semester were made for enrollment into the masochistic after-torture of higher learning: Graduate School. The purposes behind such an obviously displeasuring act lie in 1) Gaining a Masters Degree, which typically entails higher pay, 2) Additional experience and résumé building, and 3) Preparation time for moving the heck out of here and getting a decent job.

My first instinct has always been to leave this place as soon as I completed this semester, but chose the before-mentioned plans for the reasons so stated. A person appeared abruptly, when talking to one of my professors, a few weeks ago that I was fairly acquainted with. Last I had seen him was right before his graduation and venturing off to California where upon he already had an art director position lined up with Lucas Arts. He offered a position at Lucas Arts as a character designer. I may choose from internship, part-time, or full-time work. Simply put, an opportunity of fair scale has presented itself.

This conflicts with plans I had set into motion, but complies with those burning desires to depart from this place. What to do? As of right now, I?m leaning towards a summer internship at Lucas Arts and staying with Graduate School. Time shall see what happens next.

How?s everyone else?
