Ah, a very creative way to have some holiday fun!! I don't really like candy canes (too much sugar, not enough mint, bleh.) but here is what I would reccomend...and who knows, it may actually be somewhat plausible.

Sunder's comments about keeping it just sharp enough to pierce yet strong enough not to break ring true, but would be muchly difficult to acheive I think. I suggest buying one of those big peppermint sticks that are about an inch in diameter and around, oh, 6 inches long....you know the ones. Since you don't have a curve, that won't break off...score. If you lick one end into a point, not only will it most likely be stronger due to thicker candy, but the point itself probably won't have to be as long to acheive ultimate sharpness, thus less chance of breakage. Another added bonus, you can hang on to the remaining portion of the stick, rather similar to a stake through the heart I suppose. Combine these tactics with Sunder's suggested target points on the body, and I'd say you're well on your way to having some bloody winter fun!!
