yeah, i was really torn between xbox and gamecube, too. i mean, almost everybody has had a gameboy at one time in their life, and i think its safe to say that the smash bros., mario, and star wars lines are addictive as hell. ultimately, though, it was the lineup of 2002-2003 games that clinched it for me for the xbox. jet set radio future (finally with mp!), toejam and earl 3, shenmue 2, crazy taxi next, and (hopefully) a sam and max game. not to mention halo (the 2 mp does suck, but i heard that with the gametunnel support from gamespy, you can have a bunch of people playing online at once, but i'm not sure of the validity of this statement), a simpson's race game, and doa3. besides, my best friend already got a gamecube, so i might as well secure my place in the annals of pointless zombifying game history as a purchaser of xbox (uh-oh, i've stopped making sense...time to sleep).

in other news...i got a really nice copy of grendel: devil by the deed. a REALLY nice one. i need to go wallow in my own gloat now...
