Mother Hamilton stated unequivocally that the decision (to only allow unmarried people as candidates for president of SRF) made by the BOD of SRF was done entirely of the board's own will to keep the power within a group that the renunciants could control. Mother met with Dr. Lewis, Yogacharya Black and Bob Raymer after Rajasi's (correct spelling approved by Master) passing. All were clearly upset by the palace coup of the board and also upset about all the changes to Master's teachings which were only getting started at that time. I believe that if Master had really wanted the power to remain inside the organization that he would not have established independent power centers with titles (Yogacharya) and permission to teach Kriya directly (as none of the renunciants had). Mother, in a private meeting, was asked by Master to raise her hand and to swear allegiance directly to him and not to the organization.
When examining the statements made by SRF in defense of many of the early machinations of SRF after Rajasi's passing (even some before), remember who it is that changed a Perfect Master's words. Even Sri Yukteswar's great book "The Holy Science," written in English by Sri Yuktesar, was changed. (Examine the tense of the word "produced" vs. "produces" in Sutra 2 in enough of the early copies versus later ones. There are many more changes.) But to change a Perfect Master's signature is evidence of a truly malignant force at work in SRF. None of this is as bad, though, as the attitude of defiance and the disregard of the Truth whenever their deeds are questioned.
I recently acquired a copy of a book on the history of science that was written in the 1950s. Since the book that I obtained was a new printing and combined two volumes into one, the publishers inserted the following note on the copyright page: "This Dover edition, first published in 1989, is an unabridged and unaltered republication in one volume of the works originally published by Thomas Nelson & Sons, Ltd., London, in 1951 and 1953."
This is the ethics of the commercial marketplace. We have the right to expect this common ethical standard - as a minimum - from the disciples of a Perfect Master. Each word from his mouth or from his pen, if not corrected or edited directly by him, is God's holy writ and is as close as some of us will ever get to the nectar of God's Love, Light and Bliss. We should revere even his mistakes, if there are any, as teachings worthy of our attention and study.
