Hello Cowboy,
I am looking at the book, and it appears that the copy of the handwritten letters would not fit on one page IF they were as long as the typed copies.
Is it possible that the publishers may just wanted to give a sample of the written letter? It would seem strange that someone would want to present an altered letter as "authentic" by placing next to the "real" letter for the sake of comparison. Frank
