The problem (assuming the fellow is PY's son) is that PY didn't come clean. If there was no misconduct, why not openly celebrate having a son? Human error is one thing, but refusal to admit and live up to it is another. (There is also the further matter of the vows Yogananda held himself out as following.)
Still, the paternity claim might well be erroneous, even if the man really believes he is PY's son; as Ketch pointed out, the claim rests heavily on a family tradition that may turn out to have been entirely fictional. And even though the alleged, rather peculiar behavior of SRF's counsel speaks volumes, the evidence is still too ambiguous to make even a provisional judgment. Perhaps we'll just have to wait and see what else develops.
