Subject: My sincere apologies Dr Nerode
In reply to: anil nerode - 20 Aug 2002 's message, "Re: Please Show Respect" on 13:01

I was the one who posted the original message in this thread. Thank you for your answer Dr Nerode and also the graciousness with which you have responded.
I am happy that you have cleared up this misunderstanding on my part regarding the man with Yoganandaji in the photo as not being your father.
I went and had a look at all available photos of Sri Nerode (though for me these are few) and compared them to the likeness of the man with Yogananda in the photos in Kriyananda's book and I must admit it looks less likely that they are one and the same person by the minute (though they were taken years apart.
You are right about the necessity of relying on concrete facts and evidence regarding the establishment of something as true rather than mere wishful thinking. I guess my fault here was due in part to the sentiment of wishing that indeed Yogananda and your father had reconciled before the former left his body as this would to my own heart and mind provide a more satisfactory and fitting end to an episode in the lives of these two.
