Regarding the incident involving the ex-SRF monk, it seems the only information you have about that case comes from Ron Russell of the NTLA. Now I know that some at Ananda found his articles to be convenient when he was attacking SRF and its leadership. But the latest article calls into question this authors honesty (and also the wisdom of Ananda/Kriyananda's cooperation with him in the past.) Even Kriyanada himself said the he was badly misquoted by Mr. Russell and that Mr. Russell intentionally left out portions of his interview with Kriyananda in order to make the article more sensational. Do you think perhaps the same thing might have been done when Russell was discussing Mr. Rapp and SRF's handling of the incident? I can tell you from first hand knowledge that that author does indeed twist the truth and even lie to make his stories more juicy. Do you really want to rely upon him for the basis of your allegations? I guess it would be convenient to do so in the case of Rapp, but somewhat contradictory if you disbelieve his allegations against Yogananda or believe Kriyananda's assertion that Russell misquoted him and indulged in "yellow journalism."

In any case, these are the basic facts:

1. Rapp abused his power in 1997 and was asked to leave the SRF ashram.

2. Kriyananda has been abusing his power since the early 70's and still continues in his role as the spiritual director of Ananda.
